Academic excellence is based on the close connection between education and research. It is created in an environment where research centers, companies, students and teachers create an atmosphere of curiosity and intellectual challenge. In a time when partnerships are formed over the boundaries, between universities in different countries, we feel compelled to reach our goals in cooperation with our overseas colleagues and collaborate in research and teaching in the common fields of interest: Bio- and Nano-materials.

Two universities in Sweden and China, Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH) and University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), have agreed upon establishing a Joint Center for Bio- and Nano-Materials. The center initiates a new model of research and educational cooperation, where a comprehensive collaboration structure between KTH and USTC is envisaged.
